February 2011 Meeting - 'The Secret Listeners of Gilnahirk'

The Society's next meeting will take place on Monday 14th February 2011 when a talk will be given by George Busby on a secret Direction Finding listening facility in Gilnahirk during the second world war.

Please note: our meetings take place in the Committee Room in the Lough Moss Centre, Hillsborough Road, Carryduff and begin at 8pm.
Non-members are very welcome

The Society's next meeting will take place on Monday 11th October 2010 with a talk on the Belfast City Cemetery being given by Tom Hartley.
Tom is the author of the book 'Written in Stone: The History of Belfast City Cemetery'.

The Society's Annual General Meeting was held on Monday 12th April 2010 and the following were elected for 2010/2011:
Chairman: John Cousins.
Tresurer: David Burnett.
Programme Committee: Gillian Hunt, Charlotte Murtagh & Rodney Maxwell.
Publicity Secretary: Gordon Hunt.

Thanks to Cecil Rutledge, our invited speaker, for providing 'Auld Yarns' about Carryduff.
